Dan's classes are a mindful flow, infused with Qi Gong and Tai Chi elements.
Dan's first found yoga as a way of relieving pressure as a performer in the fast paced and unpredictable world of (musical) theatre. Having no idea how much scope this ancient practice held initially, yoga became a huge part of his life in 2014 when he decided to take a break from it all and travel to India and study the practice, philosophy and ethics of Ashtanga Vinyasa with The Yoga People.
Since then he has been inspired by a myriad of practices and traditions including Yin Yoga/ Meridian theory (traditional Chinese medicine), Chakra philosophy, Mandala vinyasa, Shamanism and advanced asana. His main teacher over the last couple of years has been Mimi Kuo-Deemer, from whom he draws most of his inspiration and knowledge. He has since been thoughtfully integrating āsana, functional movement, qi gong and Chinese medicine together into both his self practice and his yoga classes. Dan also spent time with Nikki Slade last year, studying Kirtan and Mantra, on her first 200 hour learn to lead Kirtan training.
Dan cherishes the gift of teaching and introducing people to the world of yoga and what it can un-lock, reveal and heal through regular practice, passion and persistence. His hope is always to empower students and enable them to explore limitless potential through a strong, concise and truly connected practice.
