Immunity Boosting Masterclass with Katy Appleton

This workshop will look at ways to boost immunity, using backbends and twists to stimulate digestion and increase your white blood cell count to help flight the rogue invaders lurking around your body. We will use sun salutations and a slow dynamic flow to get the circulation and lymphatic system moving and to create a healthy heat in the body. We will use long slow breaths and holds in the lunar phase of the class to soothe and boost energy and to ultimately, help us to access the meditation 'hall' within. This will be a deeply nourishing class for the whole of your being creating a much needed balance to your system at this time of year.
Katy Appleton, Founder & Director of appleyoga brings to yoga more than 25 years of expertise in movement through ballet, Pilates, body tuning, breath and energy work. She is an internationally recognised teacher of Vinyasa Flow and is known for bringing the true essence of yoga alive in a student's body mind in creative, dynamic and life transforming ways. Her teaching is biomechanically savvy whilst fun and playful, invoking a deeper embodied sense of self within a practice.
Her integrated teaching style involves an eclectic mix of dynamic vinyasa, bhakti yoga, (the heart essence path), structured alignment, philosophy, mantra, sufi poetry and wicked musical vibes. Katy is also the creator of the appleyoga school, running life-transforming teacher trainings, apple adventure worldwide retreats and online courses. She has published several yoga books and award-winning DVDs for home practice.
