Four Week Beginners Course with Katy Bateman

Join us for a 4 week beginners course, the perfect way to start your year and your yoga practice. Through a mindful and alignment-based approach, this course aims to deepen your connection between body, mind, and breath to discover the many benefits a yoga practice has to offer us - both on and off the mat. You will learn alignment principles for key asana (postures), movement patterns and explore the importance of rest and relaxation. We will work at a pace that ensures everyone will receive personal attention and there will be plenty of time to ask questions and build on your knowledge week by week. This course aims to set the foundation for you to move confidently into drop in classes and hopefully ignite a life-long practice.
These will be weekly 75 minute classes, every Tuesday evening.

Using the principles of Anusara Yoga, Katy emphasises proper use of breath and alignment to encourage a safe and playful practice. Katy's teaching inspires connection so expect some fun partner work to take your practice deeper.
Like many yogis, Katy initially started practising as a means of exercise, and to find a place to escape the hustle and bustle of living in a busy city – but very quickly fell in love with the feelings of balance, strength and serenity yoga instills. Katy is blessed to have studied with many wonderful teachers, and is especially grateful for the teaching and constant guidance from her teacher Bridget Woods-Kramer, with whom she gained her 200hr certification, and is currently completing her Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.
