Join our resident teacher Pippa Richardson for a Beginner's Yoga workshop this January, the perfect way to kick start your year and yoga practice. Through a mindful and relaxed approach, this workshop aims to deepen your connection between mind, body and breath so that you can discover the many benefits a yoga practice has to offer - both on and off the mat. You will explore functional movement patterns and alignment principles for key asana (poses) as well as the importance of rest and relaxation. We will work at a pace that ensures everyone will receive personal attention and there will be time to ask questions as we go.
This workshop aims to be the perfect introduction to yoga, serving as a foundation for you to then step confidently into an appropriate drop in class if you wish. Our practice will be inclusive and welcoming for all ages and abilities as we hope to inspire the start of your journey and ignite a life-long yoga practice.
Her teaching encourages intuitive movement as she supports her students in exploring embodiment and developing self-awareness. She has a mindful approach to alignment, which honours the needs for different approaches for individual structures. This aims to build strength and flexibility in both body and mind, encouraging the body to return to its natural state of ease and freedom.
Her work is inspired by her own rich experience of working 1-2-1 with her teacher for 5 years and her study of body psychotherapy. She specialises in teaching one-to-one and is a faculty member on the 'The Art of Teaching Yoga One-to-One’ - a two year training for yoga teachers. She has also acted as a mentor for teacher trainees on the Triyoga Teacher Training Program, the UK’s leading Teacher Training School.
